Two ways Ordero uses your Clover
| Menu import | Ordero Connect | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is for | The AI phone assistant sells from your Clover menu | Ask questions about your Clover sales |
| What it reads | Business details and menu: categories, items, sizes, options, prices, availability | Orders, line items, refunds, discounts, payments, staff, items and costs |
| Where you use it | Integrations, in your Ordero panel | ordero.si/connect |
| Price | Included with the Voice Agent | $19.99 a month |
| Status | Rolling out | Early access, with a read-only API token |
Your Clover menu, on the phone
Connect Clover from the Integrations page of your Ordero panel. Ordero brings your categories, items, sizes, options and prices over, shows you a preview, and replaces your Ordero menu only when you save. On the next call, the Voice Agent sells from it.
- Hidden items and items priced at the register stay off the phone, and Ordero lists them for you so nothing disappears silently.
- Bring the menu over again whenever it changes, and the assistant sells the new menu from the next call.
- Not on Clover? Upload your menu as a PDF, photos of the pages, Excel, Word, CSV or JSON instead; Ordero’s AI reads it and you check it before it is saved.
Ordero Connect: ask your Clover sales anything
Ordero Connect answers questions like “What were my best sellers this month?” or “When are my busiest hours?” with the real figures, worked out from your own orders, and a chart. It can show tips, sales tax and payment types, sales by staff member, and how your sales move with the weather at your ZIP code. Profit and margins appear when item costs are entered in Clover.
- Open Ordero Connect and sign in with your Ordero account, or create one.
- In your Clover web dashboard, create an API token with Read on Orders, Inventory and Merchant, plus Payments and Employees if you want tips, tax, payment types and staff.
- Paste the token with your Merchant ID. Ordero checks it and connects.
- Start your subscription: $19.99 a month, paid through Stripe. The sample data stays free.
- Ask your first question. The first read of a long period takes the longest; after that, answers come back in seconds.
Local guides with questions to ask: New York City, New Jersey, Boston and Massachusetts.
Read only, both ways
Ordero only reads from Clover. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in your point of sale: not a price, not an item, not an order. The access is stored encrypted and used only for your account; disconnecting in Ordero deletes it, and deleting the API token in Clover (or removing Ordero’s app, for an app connection) ends it. Clover is provided by its own company under its own terms, and Ordero is not affiliated with it.
What comes next
One-click approval for Ordero Connect inside Clover is on its way. Square is next for the menu import, and Stripe for card payments on the Online Order System. See Integrations.
